Gianni Solinas

Former Officer at a number of banking groups (Finance and Law Departments), he qualified as a lawyer in 1993, and has been a member of the Venice Bar Association since 1996. He is qualified for pleading before the Supreme Magistrates Court in 2011.

He assists credit institutes in both judicial and out-of-court settlements, in matters of banking law and credit recovery, where he has gained twenty years of experience, following all aspects of banking and bankruptcy litigations, comprising the area of financial tools, including derivatives.

Thanks to his experience in banking and financial law, he has been appointed to the Council of Arbitration and also conducts consultancy and assistance activities in court proceedings for banking and insolvency law issues.

After being a research professor at Ca’'Foscari University, Venice, he worked for a number of years as professor in Banking Law, and subsequently as professor of Advanced Banking Law and Bankruptcy Law, all at the University of Padua.
He has written a number of publications on corporate, bank and bankruptcy law, as well as teaching at training school and master courses, and is a rapporteur at numerous conferences in his areas of expertise.
